DISTANCE
IMG_3794_edited.png

»Split - There should be room for one horse between you and the rider in front.

»NTT - Your horse's mule in the tail root of the horse in front.

»NTS - Nose to Saddle. Your horse's mule in the back of the saddle on the horse in front.

»HI - Halfway inside. Your horse's front legs under the rider in front.

»FI - Full inside. Ride completely in the horse in front of you.

»Couple distance - Used in comb and pair riding. Your horse's tail root should be at the height of the other horse's mule.

Screen delay

The reason why we usually ride in each other on our own screens is due to screen delay. When you ride in pairs, it will look like you are riding in front of your partner. The partner's horse is thus NTT for your horse.

Adjust distance

It is important to always think about the distance you have to the person in front of you. If you are too far behind, you must increase the gait 1-2 steps to catch up. If you are too far forward, you may slowly descend or wiggle. After each exercise, the distances may need to be adjusted. Another way to fix the distances is to cut off / hold out at turns.

In combs, it is the leader in the line you adapt to.

TIMING

It is important that everyone has good timing. When we perform an exercise, the instructor will say "Prepare command, command, and .. NOW". You should then execute the command as soon as you hear the word NOW. For example. '' Prepare Curl, Curl, and .. NOW ''

Screen delay

When you perform the exercises, you will always see yourself a little before everyone else. If you are a little ahead, then it looks okay on everyone else's screens and the timing was good.

START FROM HALT

When you stand on a ledge stationary to start trotting, you stand NTT and start trotting as soon as you see that the horse in front of you starts to move. Not everyone starts now.
